Job summary

NTT DATA seeks an experienced Technical Delivery Director to lead IT strategy, architecture and program delivery in Arlington, VA. This role directs technical activities across implementation, transition, upgrades, testing, break fix, operations and maintenance for a government-focused program.

You will manage cross-functional teams, ensure compliance with FISMA/FERPA/HIPAA, drive modernization of legacy apps, and align technology with the agency roadmap.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management, or a related field.
• 1.5 years of additional experience can substitute for one year of a typical degree program.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT management including systems development, network administration, or technical operations.
• Project Management Certification (example: PMI PMP® Certification).
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Work onsite Monday thru Thursday and Telework on Fridays.

Responsibilities

• Supports development of long-term IT strategies, technical roadmaps, and policies aligned with agency missions.
• Oversees network services, server administration, cybersecurity, and cloud platforms.
• Ensures compliance with federal or local regulations (e.g., FISMA, FERPA, HIPAA) and implements robust security controls.
• Directs the modernization of legacy applications and manages the development of new, complex software solutions.
• Acts as a primary liaison between the IT department and other agency departments and stakeholders.
