National DCP, LLC (NDCP) is hiring a Delivery Assistant in Greensboro, NC to support the driver with unloading and delivering products to Dunkin stores. The role uses electric and manual pallet jacks and requires lifting up to 55 lbs and safe navigation through parking lots.

Responsibilities

• Identify products under varying lighting conditions in trailer or truck.
• Learn product descriptions and box types for proper delivery at each location.
• Place stock into proper delivery zones (freezer, cooler, dry).
• Lift boxes and bags of varying sizes and weights as needed.
• Guide the driver and divert traffic to promote safety in driveways and parking lots.
• Navigate busy lots and intersections during delivery.
• Climb in/out of tractor and trailers repeatedly and operate lift gates.
• Assist with other requests within safety guidelines and policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver with the delivery of product into Dunkin stores using an electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack and/or two-wheel hand truck. The product will be segregated into freezer, cooler, dry, and chemicals.
• Assist the driver with identifying the product(s) on the delivery truck under various lighting conditions that may exist in the trailer or delivery truck.
• Learn product descriptions and box types to assist in the proper delivery of product at each location.
• Assist the driver in placing stock into the proper delivery zone in the store (freezer, cooler and dry).
• Lift boxes and bags of varying sizes and weights frequently during the course of a day.
• Divert traffic to promote a safe working environment for the driver to back up into the store parking lot and delivery area. Guide the driver through parking lots.
• Navigate through busy parking lots and intersections while delivering product using a two-wheel hand truck, an electric or manual pallet jack.
• Climb in and out to the tractor and trailers repeatedly throughout the day.
• Safely operate the side and rear lift gates on the delivery vehicles.
• Assist the driver with any other requests within safety guidelines and/or company policy.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

2. Prior food/restaurant/warehouse experience a plus

3. Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
