Job summary

National DCP, LLC. is hiring a Delivery Assistant to support the driver with unloading and delivering products to Dunkin stores in Bellingham, MA.

You will use electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, and two-wheel hand truck and participate in the safe handling of freezer, cooler, dry, and chemical products. This full-time position offers a starting hourly pay of $22.65 with comprehensive benefits, paid time off, holidays, and growth opportunities across departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years in food/restaurant/warehouse a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and follow simple directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver with delivery of product to Dunkin stores using pallet jacks and hand truck.
• Identify products and box types under varying lighting conditions.
• Place stock into proper delivery zones (freezer, cooler, dry).
• Lift boxes and bags of varying sizes and weights frequently.
• Navigate parking lots and back up safely with the driver.
• Operate lift gates on delivery vehicles as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver with the delivery of product into Dunkin stores using an electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack and/or two-wheel hand truck. The product will be segregated into freezer, cooler, dry, and chemicals.
• Assist the driver with identifying the product(s) on the delivery truck under various lighting conditions that may exist in the trailer or delivery truck.
• Learn product descriptions and box types to assist in the proper delivery of product at each location.
• Assist the driver in placing stock into the proper delivery zone in the store (freezer, cooler and dry).
• Lift boxes and bags of varying sizes and weights frequently during the course of a day.
• Divert traffic to promote a safe working environment for the driver to back up into the store parking lot and delivery area. Guide the driver through parking lots.
• Navigate through busy parking lots and intersections while delivering product using a two-wheel hand truck, an electric or manual pallet jack.
• Climb in and out to the tractor and trailers repeatedly throughout the day.
• Safely operate the side and rear lift gates on the delivery vehicles.
• Assist the driver with any other requests within safety guidelines and/or company policy.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

2. Prior food/restaurant/warehouse experience a plus

3. Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

4. Ability to follow simple directions

5. Excellent Interpersonal Skills with the ability to interact with employees and external customers
