Job summary

PenAir Credit Union in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Credit Resolution Specialist to recover money owed on delinquent loans while ensuring compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and regulatory guidelines.

You will contact delinquent borrowers by phone, text, email, and mail; analyze financial situations; arrange payments or deferments and report trends to management. The role offers growth through training and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of similar or related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy in communications.

Responsibilities

• Contacts delinquent accounts by phone, text, email, and mail; takes appropriate action to bring current.
• Analyzes financial situation of delinquent borrowers; makes recommendations to repossess collateral or charge off when other arrangements fail.
• Maintains accurate files and reports on all collections activity.
• Completes weekly scheduled educational training through various courses.
• Performs skip tracing to locate difficult members.
• Informs management of trends in loan underwriting contributing to delinquent/charged-off loans.
• Participates in training with a Senior Credit Resolution Specialist to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
