Job summary

United Federal Credit Union is seeking a Collector to manage delinquency and minimize loan losses. The role focuses on curing delinquency, preventing charge-offs, and referring members to the Member Assistance Program as needed.

You will contact members, gather information, document accounts, and work with internal teams to resolve financial difficulties while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Two years collections experience preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Resolve delinquency and minimize loan losses through collection efforts.
• Locate and contact members with delinquent loans; maintain account information.
• Pursue residency, employment, and other information for non-responsive members.
• Refer members to MAP when financial difficulties arise.
• Prepare and submit recommendations for repossession, charge-off, or legal action.
• Check emails/voicemails and respond by end of business day.
