Qualifications

• A combined 2 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience.
• Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Motivated, team player.
• Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Associate’s degree.
• Collections experience.
• Knowledge of M&T systems.

Responsabilités

• Initiate contact with delinquent borrowers to collect past due payments and discuss repayment options.
• Assess repayment options and determine ability to repay while complying with laws and regulations.
• Perform inbound and outbound calls to communicate repayment options and handle inquiries.
• Refer customers to appropriate departments via warm transfers.
• Document call outcomes and ensure compliance with state/federal requirements.
• Research and review high-risk loans; analyze financial statements to assess recovery likelihood.
• Identify high-risk situations and escalate to management with recommended actions.
• Utilize internal collections and accounting systems to manage accounts and resolve issues.
• Adhere to internal controls and audit points; promote M&T brand.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
