Job summary

Cosentino’s Market #284 in Kansas City is seeking a part-time Deli Clerk for 2pm-8pm with open availability. You will assist customers in the deli and help in the kitchen while upholding sanitary protocols and food safety standards.

Reporting to the Deli Manager, this non-exempt role includes stocking, cleaning, and providing good, fast service. A food handling permit within 14 days is required; a high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Food handling permit within 14 days of employment.
• Ongoing training per Cosentino’s Learning Plan.

Responsibilities

• Clean equipment, prep areas, dishes and utensils per Food Safety guidelines.
• Unload shipments and stock designated areas without damage.
• Assist prep cook and kitchen staff as needed.
• Follow rotation procedures and monitor product dates.
• Answer customer questions accurately and courteously.
• Maintain health and sanitation standards and safety procedures.
