Job summary

Cosentino's Market in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Deli Clerk to join the team with flexible hours and weekend availability. This on-site role reports to the Deli Manager and focuses on friendly customer service and efficient, safe food preparation.

You will help with prep, stock, cleaning, and maintaining health standards, while supporting other kitchen tasks as needed. A high school diploma and customer service skills are required, plus a food handling permit within 14 days of starting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food handling permit must be obtained within 14 days of employment.
• Completion of ongoing training per Cosentino’s Learning Plan.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all equipment and prep areas are cleaned per Food Safety guidelines.
• Empty and clean trash receptacles.
• Provide assistance to prep cook and kitchen as needed.
• Rotate products and monitor dates to ensure freshness.
• Stock designated areas and prepare for deliveries.
• Meet productivity standards and assist customers with questions.
• Resolve customer complaints professionally and involve management when needed.
• Adhere to Cosentino’s Customer Service Standards and health regulations.
