Job summary

Blarney Castle in Oscoda, MI is seeking a deli associate who will accurately receive and prepare deli orders, serve customers courteously, and maintain clean, safe work areas in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED; Serv-Safe certification is preferred. This position requires on-site work at the Oscoda store and adherence to safety guidelines and company procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; candidates with retail experience may be considered.
• Pri or Serv-Safe certification is preferred.
• Basic math skills for change, weights, inventory.
• Ability to read, write, understand and follow instructions.
• Interpersonal communication and customer service standards.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Age 18 or older due to equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare deli orders following Serv-Safe, portion, and recipe standards.
• Serve customers in a courteous, pleasant and professional manner.
• Clean assigned areas, including food prep, storage, equipment, floors, refrigerators, freezers, meat cases, and other equipment.
• Maintains accurate inventory data, including checking in stock, usage, spoilage, waste, and temperature logs.
• Assists in maintaining store areas and general inventory; remove trash and complete transactions when trained.
• Perform on-site work at the assigned store location.
• Follows company policies and completes training within deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.
