Job summary

Blarney Castle Oil is seeking a Deli Team Lead in Harbor Springs to expertly manage deli operations and staff, ensuring top-tier customer service and strict adherence to safety standards.

The ideal candidate has experience in food preparation and a strong focus on teamwork, with ability to manage inventory, costs and vendor relations while maintaining Serv-Safe compliance and on-site presence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six months’ experience in food preparation and handling; one year preferred.
• Basic math for inventory usage, weights, costs and volume.

Responsibilities

• Lead deli staff, including planning, training, performance management and development.
• Ensure deli operates within food safety, franchise and company standards.
• Manage deli inventory, vendor orders and price data; update cost sheets.
• Maintain records of spoilage and costs; review monthly reports.
• Receive and prepare deli orders following Serv-Safe, portion and recipe standards; serve customers.
• Maintain deli cleanliness and Serv-Safe standards; liaise with inspectors.
• Assist in other store operations and handle cash/credit transactions as trained.
• Perform on-site work at assigned store location.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Complete training within deadlines and maintain Serv-Safe certification.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.
