Job summary

Raley's is seeking an Assistant Deli Team Lead to support the Deli/Bistro team with leadership, product knowledge, and top‑notch customer service. The role focuses on directing staff, ensuring fresh, high‑quality deli items, and maintaining safe and clean work areas.

The position involves oversight of production, merchandising, pricing accuracy, and vendor/stock coordination to meet department goals while delivering excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age; 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Retail or deli experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct department personnel in the absence of the Deli Team Leader and help meet department goals.
• Oversee the preparation, serving, and merchandising of deli/bistro items.
• Display deli merchandise following merchandising guidelines.
• Rotate deli items to ensure quality and shrink control.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and cold chain compliance.
