Weis Markets, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager in Jersey Shore, PA. You will support the Deli Manager in daily operations, merchandising, and customer service while leading a small team to ensure freshness, accuracy, and high standards.

This role requires at least 2 years of retail management experience and a high school diploma or GED. Expect involvement in scheduling, training, inventory, sanitation, and compliance with all safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or working toward GED.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in management in a retail/restaurant/supermarket environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, assist, and answer questions, maintaining a positive attitude.
• Ensure fresh quality merchandise and proper product handling; minimize losses.
• Assist Deli Manager with merchandising, ad execution, associate engagement, and customer service; coordinate sales plans.
• Oversee department inventories by tracking weekly sales, orders, and supplies; ensure accurate period-end counts.
• Review schedules, manage labor costs, and support training; recognize performance and develop talent.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation, health, safety, and labeling laws; maintain logs and records.
• Maintain smooth workflow and collaboration with coworkers and supervisors; strive for improvement.
• Perform staff duties as required and support other duties as requested by management.
