Job summary

SpartanNash, located in Fenton, Michigan, is seeking a Deli Associate to prepare, package, label and stock deli products in our retail stores. You will work independently to meet safety, quality and guest experience guidelines while collaborating with store teams to support merchandising plans.

The role requires a high school diploma (GED preferred), and 1 year of retail or related experience. Physical work includes lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Deli Products to Production Planner.
• Package and Label Deli Products per program plan.
• Merchandise Deli Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations.
• Stock Backroom with Deli Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets.
• Notify the Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other associates.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
