Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring a Deli Clerk in Lenexa, KS to support the fast-paced deli team. You will assist customers with fresh meal options, prepare and present deli products, and ensure cleanliness of the deli area while maintaining product quality and proper temperature controls.

The role requires standing for several hours, occasional heavy lifting, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. We emphasize safety, teamwork, and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and grocery/food service experience or an education/experience mix.
• Dependable and reliable with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good teamwork and ability to take direction.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and stand for several hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting healthy options and preparing fresh meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure Deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented cleanly.
• Fill, rotate, and display products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment (slicer, ovens, microwaves) following procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy and quality.
