Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent, plus experience in grocery/food service.
• Dependable, reliable, and able to interact positively with customers.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 70 lbs. and standing for extended periods.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment.
• Follow safety, health, and food-handling regulations; possess a Food Handler permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting deli products and preparing fresh meals.
• Ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, displayed, and rotated.
• Operate deli equipment (slicers, ovens, microwaves) safely and maintain equipment.
• Prepare special orders and party trays; manage product walkthroughs and restocking.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the deli area and surrounding spaces.
