Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Deli Clerk to join its fast-paced deli team in a community grocery setting. You will assist customers, prepare fresh meals, and ensure all deli products are properly displayed and maintained.

The role requires weekend and holiday availability, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. You will operate deli equipment and uphold safety and cleanliness standards while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with the ability to interact with customers.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; able to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to lift/carry up to 70 lbs., stand for long periods, and operate deli equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in choosing healthy foods and prepare quick, fresh meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate slicers, ovens, microwaves, scales, and other deli equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe deli area and equipment; clean shelves and floors.
• Receive, inspect, and log product shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
