Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Deli Specialist to oversee deli department excellence, ensure product freshness and proper rotation, and support merchandising standards. You will help with inventory accuracy and guest engagement while upholding food safety and presentation for promotions and seasonal events.

The role requires a passion for food, teamwork, and delivering an exceptional guest experience on a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deli products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of deli items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, ensuring proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Play a key role in compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach when on the sales floor.
