Job summary

Schnuck Markets, Inc. is looking for a Deli Clerk to join our team. You will prepare sandwiches and salads, weigh and slice meats, and provide friendly service to customers while maintaining high food safety standards.

Applicants should be 18+, flexible for evenings/weekends, and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior deli or food service experience is a plus, and teamwork is essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to demonstrate basic math skills for pounds/ounces.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Use of hair restraint required and wear uniform with name tag.
• Knowledge of safe knife use and proper food handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers in person and by phone.
• Prepare sandwiches, salads, and other deli items following recipes.
• Slice and weigh lunch meats and cheeses; confirm slice thickness with customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in display cases and work areas.
• Operate deli equipment and assist with restocking and presentation.
