Job summary

Schnucks is seeking a Deli Clerk to deliver friendly, accurate service and maintain clean, organized deli areas. You will assist with slicing, weighing, and preparing meals while following food safety guidelines.

This role emphasizes teamwork, reliable attendance, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Training will be provided to ensure quality customer experiences and adherence to recipes and standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to demonstrate basic math skills (translate pounds/ounces to decimals).
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers in person and on the phone.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area, deli cases, and backroom per food safety guidelines.
• Slice and weigh lunch meats and cheeses, offering thickness options to customers.
• Operate slicers, scales, and wrapping equipment safely after training.
• Assist with production, packaging, presentation, and restocking as needed.
