Job summary

Dierbergs Markets, Inc. is seeking a Deli/Seafood Associate to join our team in Missouri. You will help prepare quality deli products, assist customers, and deliver excellent service in a dynamic kitchen and retail setting.

You will work with equipment like slicers and ovens, follow SAFE food handling practices, and support different departments as needed. This role offers a friendly team environment and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow recipes, charts, invoices and temperature gauges.
• Basic computer, math and measurement skills.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
• Prompt and regular attendance based on your schedule.
• Adherence to dress code, appearance and personal hygiene standards.
• A Hepatitis A vaccination (MO locations only).
• May be cross-trained in other departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service that goes above and beyond.
• Promote deli and seafood products using suggestive selling techniques.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain proper temperatures and prevent cross-contamination in production and storage.
• Weigh, wrap, and label products using scales.
• Slice meats and cheeses to order with electric slicers.
• Prepare party tray orders and fill serving bowls in deli counter case.
