Job summary

Dierbergs Markets is seeking a Deli/Seafood Associate to join our team in a fast-paced grocery setting. This role offers part-time and full-time opportunities, focusing on preparing quality deli and seafood products and delivering excellent customer service.

You will learn our product range, assist customers, use suggestive selling, and handle orders accurately while working in temperature-controlled environments and maintaining safety practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or deli environment is a plus.
• Ability to follow recipes, charts and temperature gauges.
• Basic computer, math and measurement skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends/holidays.
• Promotes hygiene and adheres to dress code and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service in deli/seafood.
• Learn and promote deli/seafood products and use suggestive selling techniques.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Work in refrigerated, frozen, and hot food prep areas.
• Operate and clean equipment safely (slicers, fryers, roasters, ovens).
• Prepare and cook products in warm kitchen up to 500 degrees.
• Maintain temperatures and avoid cross-contamination.
• Prepare party trays and label products.
