Gourmet Gang, the deli division of Trolley Hospitality Companies, is hiring a Deli Associate for our Downtown Norfolk location (482 E Main St). The role involves prep, customer service, cash handling, and aiding across stations to ensure smooth daily operations.

Base pay starts at $14–$15/hr with tip pool averages between $16–$18/hr; full-time and part-time options available, with benefits including holidays, PTO, health plans, 401(k) with company match, life insurance, and more.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a food service setting
• Food prep experience
• Experience running a cash register is a plus
• Able to follow directions and work independently
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Reliable transportation

Responsabilités

• Salad & Sandwich Prep: Prepare menu items while maintaining food quality and freshness.
• Customer Service/Cashier: Greet customers, take orders, operate the register, and process payments.
• Customer Service/Phones: Answer calls, take phone orders, and assist customers.
• Expediting: Check orders for accuracy, package items, and ensure timely service.
• All Staff: Assist with opening and closing duties, including washing dishes, mopping, taking out trash, restocking restroom supplies, and completing other assigned tasks.

How You Will Make An Impact

We are looking for a dependable, team-oriented Deli Associate to join our Downtown Norfolk team! Depending on your assigned station, responsibilities may include:

• Salad & Sandwich Prep: Prepare menu items while maintaining food quality and freshness.
• Customer Service/Cashier: Greet customers, take orders, operate the register, and process payments.
• Customer Service/Phones: Answer calls, take phone orders, and assist customers.
• Expediting: Check orders for accuracy, package items, and ensure timely service.
• All Staff: Assist with opening and closing duties, including washing dishes, mopping, taking out trash, restocking restroom supplies, and completing other assigned tasks.

All team members are expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, provide excellent customer service, and support other stations as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
