Job summary

The GIANT Company in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a Deli Team Member to operate deli equipment and assist with preparing and serving deli products, including pizza, sandwiches, and other prepared foods. You will follow plan‑o‑gram guidelines, label and merchandize items, and ensure food safety and sanitation standards.

This role supports 4‑hour shifts or longer, with lifting up to 50 lbs, and requires strong safety awareness and teamwork to deliver quality service to customers across the deli

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to learn equipment and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Review shift plan, check equipment and supplies, and prepare for duties at start of shift.
• Prepare sandwiches, subs, pizza, and other deli items; heat or assemble as needed.
• Take orders, slice meat or cheese, weigh, wrap, label, and package items for customers.
• Prepare products for sales floor warmers and hot bar per plan‑o‑gram and SOP.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces, tools, and cases; track loss using KLT if applicable.
• Perform other deli tasks as assigned and maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
