Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a team member for its Manchester, PA deli to prepare and serve a variety of deli items, including sandwiches, pizzas and hot foods. You will weigh, package and label orders, assist customers, and maintain clean, safe work stations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include following SOPs, using PPE, keeping accurate records, and ensuring product quality and safety at all times.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to communicate and understand Company policies and safety regulations to complete job duties satisfactorily.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at the start of shift, check equipment and supplies, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties.
• Make sandwiches, subs, roast or fry chicken, appetizers, heat soup, prepare pizzas, and label and merchandise per plan‑ogram (POG).
• Wait on customers, slice meat or cheese, weigh, wrap, label orders, and serve deli items.
• Work in the grab and go lunch meat and cheeses section and produce items for warmers and hot bar per SOP.
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors and counters.
• Track and record loss using known loss tracking (KLT).
• Perform record keeping functions as assigned by department manager.
