Job summary

Kennie’s Market Inc is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to help run the Deli Department, report to the Deli Manager and assist with store operations. The role includes supervising deli staff in the manager’s absence, overseeing inventory, pricing, and presentation, and ensuring product quality and customer service.

The position focuses on maintaining safety, sanitation, and efficiency in daily deli activities, aligning with company procedures and promotions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 2–4 years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals; communicate clearly in writing and speech.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for discounts, inventory and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Assist Deli Manager and store management for daily deli operations.
• supervise 6-8 deli staff in the absence of the manager; ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain product quality, rotation, display, and cleanliness of the deli area.
• Assist with ordering, pricing, inventory control and waste reduction.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure top quality products.
