Job summary

The Fresh Market in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Deli Manager to lead the department, direct team members, manage inventory and pricing integrity, and drive operational excellence. This role requires attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

You will train staff, ensure proper meat/cheese/ CMS preparation, and maintain standards while working in a fast-paced environment. Availability includes weekends and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of management in retail, restaurant, or hospitality, or 5 years in related management.
• Ability to read planograms, layouts, and merchandising schematics for the department.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist them with accurate, timely information in a friendly manner.
• Make recommendations and accommodate requests from guests.
• Manage order guides, deadlines, shrink, and damage reduction.
• Receive and stock goods with rotation standards when replenishing.
• Direct teams to handle, slice, and prepare meats, cheeses, and CMS throughout the day.
• Coach and train team members on the job and via internal training platforms.
