Job summary

The Fresh Market in Jensen Beach, FL is seeking a Deli Manager to lead our deli team, delivering a world-class guest experience with in-house smoked meats, brick oven pizza, sandwiches, salads, and more.

You will forecast staffing, manage weekly schedules in Square, and oversee ordering, inventory, and profitability, while upholding food safety and quality standards. Strong leadership and guest-service focus required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in restaurant management (front or back of house) in retail, restaurant, or hospitality.
• Strong oral and written communication with teams, management, and guests.
• High School Diploma; 18+ age (with state exceptions).
• Passion for cooking delicious, healthy, and safe food.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal food and health dept requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and build the deli team to deliver a world-class guest experience.
• Forecast and hire/train team members with store management input.
• Write and manage weekly schedules in Square to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Order ingredients, supplies, and beer and wine; manage weekly inventory.
• Improve department sales and profitability; monitor margins and shrink.
• Develop food production schedules ensuring food safety and quality.
• Ensure cleaning schedules and equipment maintenance.
• Provide onboarding experiences with Guest Services Manager.
• Coach team for operations and retention.
• Ensure adherence to The Fresh Market standards and safety policies.
