Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Deli Manager to lead the deli team, manage inventory and pricing integrity, and uphold training standards. You will direct daily operations, maintain stock rotations, and drive results with a focus on excellence and guest service.

The role requires strong leadership, prior retail or hospitality management experience, and a commitment to safety and quality. Weekend and holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality field or 5 years of related management experience.
• Ability to read, understand and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics of the department for merchandising.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests and proactively assisting them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely information
• Making recommendations and accommodating requests
• Managing order guides/ordering deadlines/reducing shrink/damage
• Properly receiving/stocking of goods that follow rotation standards when replenishing product levels
• Direct teams to handle, slice and prepare a variety of the department’s meat, cheeses, and CMS throughout the day
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members on-the-job and through internal training platform to provide excellent guest service in a safe and secure manner
