Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Deli Manager to lead the deli department, oversee inventory, pricing integrity, and staff training to ensure exceptional guest service. The role emphasizes efficiency, accuracy, and a passion for excellence in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will direct teams in meat, cheese, and CMS preparation, engage in coaching, and use internal training tools to maintain high standards and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality field or 5 years of related management experience.
• Ability to read, understand and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics of the department for merchandising.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist them with accurate and timely information.
• Make recommendations and accommodate requests.
• Manage order guides, ordering deadlines, and reduce shrink/damage.
• Direct teams to handle, slice and prepare meat, cheeses, and CMS; train team members on the job.
