Job summary

Brookshire Brothers is seeking a Deli Manager to oversee daily deli operations, profitability, presentation, sanitation, and staff development. This role requires strong customer service, accurate product management, and adherence to company standards.

You will schedule and supervise deli staff, train employees, manage inventory and budgeting, and perform other duties as assigned. Must have at least one year of bakery or deli experience, good verbal and written communication, and ability to lift

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, courteous service.
• Order and maintain all product sold through the deli department.
• Maintain budget, inventory control, orders, processing, packaging, labeling, stock level, sanitation, and plan-o-grams.
• Schedule and supervise employees assigned to the deli department to insure total customer satisfaction.
• Follow all training programs and ensure deli staff are sufficiently trained.
• Be willing and able to work additional shifts as posted.
• Perform other duties such as general cleaning and custodial tasks as directed by management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

• Order and maintain all product sold through the deli department.
• Maintain budget, inventory control, orders, processing, packaging, labeling, acceptable retail stock level, sanitation, and plan-o-grams set by Brookshire Brothers.
• Schedule and supervise employees assigned to the deli department to insure total customer satisfaction.
• Follow all training programs and makes sure all employees in deli department are sufficiently trained.
• Be willing and able to work additional shifts other than what is posted on weekly schedule.
• Be willing and able to perform other duties as assigned such as general cleaning, custodial duties, and other activities as directed by management.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE -

Must have one year of bakery or deli experience unless approved by the District Director. Must have good verbal and written skills. Must be able to calculate gross profits, inventories, and salary projections. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. All other physical requirements will be discussed during the interview process.
