Job summary

Brookshire Brothers, Inc. is seeking a Deli Manager to oversee daily deli operations, focusing on profitability, presentation, sanitation, and staff development. You will greet customers, manage product ordering, budget, inventory, and scheduling to ensure superior service.

The role requires at least one year of bakery or deli experience, strong verbal and written communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Training will be provided for other duties and shift coverage.

Responsibilities

• Display outstanding customer service skills by greeting customers and providing friendly, courteous service.
• Order and maintain all product sold through the deli department.
• Maintain budget, inventory control, orders, processing, packaging, labeling, acceptable retail stock level, sanitation, and planograms set by Brookshire Brothers.
• Schedule and supervise employees assigned to the deli department to ensure total customer satisfaction.
• Follow all training programs and ensure all deli employees are sufficiently trained.
• Be willing to work additional shifts beyond posted schedule.
• Perform other duties such as general cleaning and custodial tasks as directed by management.

• Order and maintain all product sold through the deli department.
• Maintain budget, inventory control, orders, processing, packaging, labeling, acceptable retail stock level, sanitation, and plan‑ograms set by Brookshire Brothers.
• Schedule and supervise employees assigned to the deli department to insure total customer satisfaction.
• Follow all training programs and makes sure all employees in deli department are sufficiently trained.
• Be willing and able to work additional shifts other than what is posted on weekly schedule.
• Be willing and able to perform other duties as assigned such as general cleaning, custodial duties, and other activities as directed by management.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Must have one year of bakery or deli experience unless approved by the District Director. Must have good verbal and written skills. Must be able to calculate gross profits, inventories, and salary projections. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. All other physical requirements will be discussed during the interview process.
