Food and Thought 2 in Naples, FL is seeking a Deli Lead who will support the Manager and guide the team during shifts. This hands-on role focuses on floor leadership, high standards of food quality, and exceptional customer service.

You will supervise and train deli associates, manage workflow, oversee food prep and presentation, monitor inventory, and ensure food safety. This is a strong leadership role for someone committed to teamwork and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of deli associates, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient workflow and adequate coverage during operating hours.
• Coordinate and oversee the preparation, cooking, and packaging of various deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, sandwiches, and other ready-to-eat foods.
• Ensure that food products are prepared and presented according to established standards for quality, freshness, and visual appeal.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and minimize waste.
• Maintain a strong focus on food safety and hygiene standards, following all health codes and regulations.
• Address any customer concerns or complaints regarding food quality promptly and professionally.
• Arrange and display deli products in an attractive and organized manner, using effective merchandising techniques.
• Regularly rotate and replenish products to maintain freshness and visual appeal.
• Monitor product expiration dates and remove items that have surpassed their shelf life.
• Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, equipment, and utensils.
• Ensuring refrigeration is at proper temperatures
