Job summary

PCC Community Markets is seeking a Deli Helper Clerk to deliver friendly, efficient service at the deli counter and related stations. You will assist with basic food prep, packaging, and merchandising while maintaining strict sanitation standards.

The role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and knowledge of prepared foods. Join a team that values collaboration and customer-focus.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to perform excellent, professional customer service.
• Available to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Able to work in a fast pace kitchen environment.
• Previous food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of specialty and prepared foods preferred.
• Basic math skills for measurement and scale functions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements of standing, twisting, bending, repetitive motion and lifting 10-40lbs regularly.
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required.

Responsibilities

• Counter and barista service, when needed during business operating hours.
• Dishwashing and cleaning in the deli and production areas.

• Becomes knowledgeable about deli products, specialty foods, baked goods and prepared foods.
• Maintains department sanitation and safety standards.
