Job summary

PCC Community Markets in Issaquah, WA is seeking a Deli Lead to oversee deli operations, mentor staff, and ensure exceptional customer service while coordinating front-of-house, merchandising, and production cooking.

You will participate in budgeting, scheduling, and product mix decisions and lead the department in the absence of the Deli Manager. A strong emphasis on safety, sanitation, and training is required.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Experience in retail operations including a background in and knowledge of prepared specialty foods and products.
• At least 1 year of management experience required.
• A high level of awareness of health and safety codes and the ability to implement systems to maintain compliance.
• Strong production cooking, recipe development, and kitchen management experience required.
• The ability to demonstrate organizational and planning skills.
• Computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft Office programs.
• The ability to multitask on an ongoing basis.
• Excellent leadership, teambuilding, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated creative thinking and problem solving skills.
• Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting 10–40lbs regularly.
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required.
• If hired into this role, a Certified Food Protection Manager certification (for example ServSafe) is required (paid for by PCC)
• If hired into this role, a CPR/First Aid Certification is required (paid for by PCC)
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The Deli Lead assists in overseeing Deli operations including front of house service, retail merchandising and production cooking.
