Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Food Service Associate/Deli Clerk to manage the deli and food service daily operations, ensuring sanitation, presentation and guest satisfaction. You will learn to operate cash registers, scales, and cooking equipment, handling deli items and guest orders with care and efficiency.

Applicants should be at least 16 years old, with flexibility for weekends/evenings. Prior foodservice or retail experience is preferred, with Serv-Safe certification a plus.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and evenings; may cover other locations as needed.
• Must have 2 years foodservice or retail management.
• Serv-Safe certification preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Work in walk-in coolers and freezers; stand for long periods; bend and twist.

Responsibilities

• Process cash register transactions, giving back change and refunds.
• Learn to use register, scales, scanners and debit/credit terminals.
• Read UPC codes, product labels, shelf signage, register forms, and posted company policies/procedures.
• Prepare, wrap, weigh, slice, and stock deli/food service products; rotate for quality and safety.
• The preparation and cooking of deli items, including fried foods, salads, sandwiches, and beverages.
• Take guest orders and ensure timely, satisfactory completion.
• Other duties assigned by Store Manager.
