Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Food Service Associate/Deli Clerk to manage daily deli and food service operations with high sanitation, seasonal menus, and guest service focus.

You will learn to operate registers, scales, and POS devices while preparing and stocking deli items. The role requires lifting up to 25 pounds, standing for long periods, and adhering to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
• Flexibility for weekends, holidays or evenings.
• Experience in foodservice or retail management is preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Serv-Safe certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Comfort working in walk-in coolers or freezers and handling knives and slicers.

Responsibilities

• Process cash register transactions, giving back change and refunds.
• Learn to use register, scales, scanners and debit/credit terminals.
• Read UPC codes, product labels, shelf signage, and posted policies.
• Prepare, wrap, weigh, slice and stock deli/food service products.
• Cook deli items, salads, sandwiches and hot beverages as needed.
• Work safely around slicers, ovens and burners.
• Display products according to guidelines and keep the area clean.
• Take guest orders and ensure timely completion to guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Store Manager.
