Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Food Service Associate/Deli Clerk. The role covers the deli and food service daily operations, ensuring sanitation, store appearance and guest service.

Responsibilities include processing transactions, using register and scales, preparing, wrapping and stocking deli items, cooking and serving items, and maintaining safety. Applicants must be at least 16 and flexible for weekends/holidays; Serv-Safe preferred.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
• Flexibility to work weekend, holiday and/or evening shifts.
• Must have 2 years foodservice or retail management.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Serv-Safe certification preferred.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Work in walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Stand for long periods of time, bend and twist below waist, and frequently lift and/or maneuver merchandise and supplies, as well as reaching above shoulder height.
• Be dexterous enough with hands and fingers to use knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers and rotisseries.

Responsibilities

• Process cash register transactions, giving back change and refunds.
• Learn to use register, scales, scanners and debit/credit terminals.
• Prepare, wrapping, boxing, weighing, slicing, and stocking deli/food service products; rotate as needed.
• Cook deli and food service items, including salads, sandwiches, hot/cold beverages, and prepared meals.
• Take guest orders and ensure timely and satisfactory completion.
