Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a Deli Department team member to deliver exceptional customer service, maintain a clean and safe environment, and help achieve department goals. You will work with associates to ensure quality, handle pricing and promotions, and support inventory and safety procedures.

Ideal candidates communicate well, manage stress in a busy store, and hold or be willing to obtain a food handler permit. Prior deli/retail or supervisory experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Basic math skills (counting, adding, subtracting) required.
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment.
• Current food handlers permit once employed.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Promote trust and respect among associates and communicate information clearly.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume and assist in budgeting and promotions.
• Monitor department operations, temperatures, inventory, and CAO processes as needed.
• Support management in price changes, promotions, and training of staff.
