Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a Deli supervisor to lead a friendly team, ensuring excellent customer service and high standards in the deli department. You will interview, train, and coach associates while aligning with the company's values.

You will schedule staff, manage daily priorities, monitor safety and food safety guidelines, control costs, and partner with store management to meet customer demand and department goals.

Responsibilities

• Communicate information to associates including board meetings and huddles.
• Ensure new associates are oriented to the department and benefits.
• Support the Customer 1st team and delegate work with clear direction.
• Maintain punctuality and ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.
• Execute action plans and daily priorities including performance goals.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; educate associates on brands.
• Manage scheduling to meet customer demand.
• Provide actionable feedback to help teams grow.
• Align work with store initiatives and goals.
• Maintain knowledge of products to assist customers with resources.
• Create/execute promotions with store management.
• Monitor supply expenses and assist management with budget reviews.
