Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a capable store team member to help run deli and related department tasks in a fast-paced grocery setting. You will enter orders, schedule work, supervise staff, stock and date-check products, and ensure food safety standards are met across service counters.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong communication, training ability, and readiness to handle equipment, pricing, and customer service with reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States and able to meet store requirements.
• Ability to understand and apply company policies and safety regulations in daily duties.
• Complete a food safety certification every 5 years and mentor teammates on its importance.
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements and maintain performance standards.
• Maintain regular attendance and reliability as part of job expectations.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate equipment and tools used in the job.

Responsibilities

• Enter orders, schedule work, and production for the department.
• Supervise and train team members; check dates and pricing accuracy.
• Receive, store, stock items; maintain sanitation and safety across areas.
• Prepare and label deli items; assist customers and ensure quality control.
• Plan and manage tasks like planning weekly promotions and circulars.
• Maintain cleanliness of surfaces, tools, cases, and floors per SOP.
• Identify and report safety concerns or accidents to supervisor.
• Follow SOPs for inventory, loss prevention, and proper lifting.
