Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a Deli Manager in Greenville, TX. You will lead deli personnel, oversee daily operations, and drive department sales while maintaining top-notch customer service and food safety standards.

This full-time role requires strong leadership, inventory management, and workflow planning. You will manage staffing, scheduling, and training, ensure compliance with food safety policies, and support catering orders.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED and two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education.
• Minimum of 18 years of age required.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train, and develop deli partners.
• Plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance and discipline as needed.
• Review sales, inventory, and labor data; report findings to upper management.
• Check inventory on trucks; ensure ordering accuracy and paperwork.
• Oversee deli sales, labor, and profitability objectives.
• Ensure food safety, proper dating, and product rotation.
• Assist with slicing, weighing, packaging, and labeling deli items; prepare catering orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary work environment; greet customers and take orders by phone and in person.
