Job summary

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude.
• Communicate company, department, and job information to associates.
• Establish department performance goals and empower team to meet targets.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume.
• Train and develop associates and participate in the performance appraisal process.
• Create welcoming environment and assist customers with questions.
• Inform customers of produce specials and offer samples.
• Review products for quality and freshness and take action.
• Develop and implement a department business plan.
• Create and execute sales promotions with store management.
• Educate associates about promotions affecting the department.
• Prepare seasonal critiques for the sales and merchandising supervisor.
• Implement the period promotional plan for the department.
• Assist in budget, expenses, and profit/loss reviews.
• Schedule price changes and update shelf tags.
• Plan inventory and train staff on CAO.
• Ensure proper temperatures and logs are maintained.
• Reinforce safety programs and report safety risks, issues.
• Report safety risks and illegal activity.
• Adhere to laws and company guidelines.
• Ability to work in high paced environment.
• Ability to manage conflict constructively.
• Act with honesty and integrity.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
