Blarney Castle in Hillman, MI is seeking a part-time C-store associate to provide friendly service, process sales, and assist with deli duties. You will handle cash, operate checkout equipment, and follow food safety standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include promoting weekly offers, maintaining accurate temperature logs, and ensuring customer satisfaction during peak hours. This role requires teamwork, accuracy, and the ability to work indoors in a grocery setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant retail experience considered.
• Good interpersonal skills to connect with customers and provide information accurately and courteously.
• Basic math skills for cash transactions, change, tax percentages and balancing cash registers.
• Must read and apply company procedure documents.
• Must work in a team and follow directions from managers.
• Ability to monitor activity at gas pumps and inside store; handle multiple tasks calmly.
• Operate microwaves, small ovens and kitchen equipment.
• Deal with stress while maintaining a calm demeanor during peak hours.

Responsabilités

• Display a customer-first attitude and provide immediate, undivided attention to each customer.
• Actively participate in store promotions and programs.
• Complete company-sponsored training and required updates within set periods.
• Finish specialized training on food preparation, handling and storage.
• Know promotions weekly and suggest them to customers to increase sales.
• Receive payments and provide correct change.
• Operate cash register, credit card scanners, and other sale equipment.
• Monitor gas pumps to ensure safe fueling and accurate financial transactions.
• Prepare deli orders accurately and promptly.
• Follow Serve-Safe and portion control standards and recipes.
• Control deli waste, spoilage, and inventory out dates.
• Read alpha-numeric data on registers and procedures.
• Keep temperature logs timely and accurate.
