Shaw’s and Star Market is seeking a friendly Deli Clerk to help customers choose from deli meats, cheeses, hot foods and prepared items. You’ll slice, portion, and assemble for grab-and-go options while maintaining a welcoming, efficient service.

You will also keep the deli area stocked, clean, and organized, monitor freshness and temperatures, and operate slicers and prep equipment safely in a busy environment.

Qualificações

• Clear customer communication when taking orders in person or by phone
• Experience preparing deli products, including slicing, assembling, and portioning
• Understanding of deli meats, cheeses, prepared foods, and hot case items
• Accuracy in portioning, labeling, pricing, and order completion
• Managing multiple tasks while maintaining workflow and service speed
• Keeping display cases stocked, clean, and visually consistent
• Processing transactions and making accurate change using register systems
• Following food safety, sanitation, and company procedures
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing customer demand
• Standing for extended periods, lifting up to 35lbs, in varying temperatures
