Job summary

Shaw’s and Star Market is looking for a Deli Clerk to help prepare fresh foods, slice meats and cheeses, and create a welcoming, fast-paced customer experience in our deli department.

You will stock displays, monitor freshness, take orders, and assist shoppers with recommendations while following safety and company procedures. Availability for mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays is preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing role requiring clear communication in person or by phone.
• Experience with deli products, slicing, assembling, and portioning.
• Understanding of deli meats, cheeses, prepared foods, and hot case items.
• Comfort with standing, lifting up to 35 lbs, and working in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stock deli items, slice meats, assemble grab-and-go options.
• Maintain clean, stocked displays and monitor product freshness and temperature.
