Shaw’s and Star Market is seeking a friendly Deli Clerk to prepare fresh foods, assist customers with selections of deli meats, cheeses, hot foods, and grab-and-go items, and ensure a welcoming, efficient experience. You will stock, rotate, and display products, monitor freshness, operate slicers and prep equipment safely, and keep the department clean and organized.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys teamwork, with early morning and weekend

Qualifications

• Customer orders in person or by phone with clear communication.
• Experience slicing, assembling, and portioning deli products.
• Knowledge of deli meats, cheeses, prepared foods, and hot case items.
• Accurate portioning, labeling, and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold items and maintain displays.
• Restock, take orders, and monitor product freshness.
• Operate slicers and food prep equipment safely.
