Job summary

Shaw’s and Star Market in Marlborough, MA seeks a Deli Clerk to prepare fresh foods, slice meats, and assemble grab‑and‑go items while greeting customers in a friendly, efficient manner.

You will also maintain displays, monitor product freshness, and assist with stock, pricing, and labeling. Prior deli or customer service experience is preferred; availability for mornings, weekends, and holidays is required. Benefits include weekly wages, discounts, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Customer interaction and communication with customers in person or by phone
• Experience in slicing, preparing deli products, assembling trays, weighing portions
• Knowledge of deli meats, cheeses, prepared foods, and hot case items
• Attention to portioning, labeling, pricing, and completing orders accurately
• Strong time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks
• Merchandising skills to keep display cases stocked and visually appealing
• Cash handling and accurate giving of change using register systems
• Following food safety, sanitation, and company procedures
• Adaptability to busy, fast-paced environment with changing demand
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs
• Stamina to stay active during a shift and work in varying temperatures
