Overview

If you’re excited to work in a professional kitchen preparing and cooking meals, consider applying for the position of Deli Clerk. As one of the fastest-growing natural foods retailers, we’re seeking team members who are passionate about food.

Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service. Your duties include arranging vegetables or sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Dependable and reliable
• Outgoing, friendly, and positive attitude with strong customer interaction skills
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for up to 4 hours
• Stand for up to 4 hours continuously, total of 8 hours per shift
• Perform cleaning and sanitizing duties in the department
• Operate slicers and other equipment safely
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; obtain a Food Handlers permit
• Work in cool and freezer environments
• Other related duties as assigned
