Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service in our popular department. Your tasks include arranging vegetables, slicing meats for sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. Opportunities for growth include learning about products and equipment, and becoming a customer service expert. We value individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

To qualify as a Deli Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable, reliable, and have an outgoing, friendly attitude.
• Possess good communication skills and the ability to work flexibly, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Be able to lift up to 70 lbs., stand for up to 4 hours continuously, and work in different temperature environments.
• Perform general housekeeping and operate equipment safely.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards, and maintain a Food Handlers permit.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range is $16.70 - $22.55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include competitive pay, flexible schedules, discounts, health coverage, retirement plans, and more. We also offer DailyPay for immediate access to earned wages.
