Overview

If you’re excited to work in a professional kitchen preparing and cooking meals, consider applying for the position of Deli Clerk. As one of the fastest-growing natural foods retailers, we’re seeking team members who are passionate about food.

Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service. You will arrange vegetables, slice meats for sandwiches, and assist with catering orders, all while maintaining high food safety standards. Opportunities for growth include learning about products, equipment, and customer service. We seek candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Dependable, reliable, and friendly with a positive attitude.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for up to 4 hours continuously.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation duties.
• Operate slicers and cooking equipment safely.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; obtain a Food Handlers permit.
• Work in coolers and freezers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range

$15.80 - $21.35/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
